Honored to work alongside of Director/Copywriter Matthew Boyd Williams. I brought to life his vision for Offday with a design that was versatile, striking, and foundational for storytelling. Here are HIS words on the project:
I found out I wasn't in control when I was nine. The thought approached me as I was walking in a hospital gown parted down my back and an IV pole stumbling next to me down the hall.
On July 14, 2006, I became a cancer patient. This was around the same time I should have been starting my little-league baseball season. Having your skull cracked open and a golf-ball-sized tumor removed you'd hadn't put there was a masterclass in detaching yourself from the idea you write every line of your story.
From that experience, I became obsessed with stories of survival, love and humanity.
Offday is my exploration of people who love, speak and dream in similar ways. It is also a release of my control and posturing myself as a student of the beautiful stories, hearts and minds of others.
At large, Offday is a conversation about humanity, and creative work coming together.
As a creative person, my schedule is not bound to the gregorian calendar. Rather, my schedule is framed by “workdays” and then days of rest, which I often refer to as an “offday.”
A place that feels like it's been around for decades. Every corner bleeding with intentionality. I played a large role as Art Director/Designer to help shape and craft this brand from the ground up. So proud of the team behind this project.
Angad Arts Hotel is a loud, bold fun brand that brings art to life! Their rooftop bar is full-on pop-art while each room is a single primary color to express an emotion. When designing window coverings for the exterior and interior windows, we needed something that caught people's attention. STAY CREATIVE. GET FUNKY.
